Every year at Thanksgiving, we make our Family Favorite Fall Salad. We are sharing the recipe with you and hope that you will love it as much as we do.

Salad Ingredients:
1 apple, chopped
½ c dried cranberries
¼ c pecans
Salad Greens Mix (romaine or other leafy greens with one cup chopped arugula)
1 c poppy seed dressing
To make the salad:
1. Place the Salad Greens Mix in a large bowl.
2. Mix in cranberries, pecans and chopped apple.
3. Stir in poppy seed dressing until thoroughly coated.
Poppyseed dressing ingredients:
¾ c olive oil
1/3 c vinegar (apple cider, white, balsamic, or a mixture of vinegars)
¼ honey OR agave syrup OR granulated sugar
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp onion powder OR 1 tbsp minced onion
2 tsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp poppy seeds
To make Poppyseed dressing:
1. Place all ingredients* in large jar. Shake vigorously.
2. Use as desired.
*If using minced onion, place all ingredients EXCEPT poppy seeds in blender and blend until smooth. Stir in poppy seeds.
Serves about four.
